From July 14, changes in identity documents. Welcome mProof

Version 2.0 of the mObywatel application contains a number of changes. With its launch, the third identity document officially comes into force. This will be mDowod, that is, the digital version of the ID-card. Let’s check where such a document will be read and how to access it.

What is the difference between the new version of the application and the old one?

Some may wonder what changes the new version of the app brings. After all, the previous version also gave us access to our ID card. However, in most places this document was not respected. Everything depended on the place and the situation. We will be able to use the new mDowodu almost anywhere. Exceptions:

• identification when applying for a new identity card;

• verification of our data when traveling to another country where a passport is not required.

In addition, banks are currently in the process of preparing for changes. Therefore, mDowod will be honored in these establishments only from the beginning of September.

New features in the mObywatel app

The new version of the application will receive additional features. At the mObywatel level, it will be possible to check the client’s personal data. This is a new feature that will be launched in mid-July. The following two options will appear in the new version:

• Safe bus: checking that the bus booked for the trip has all valid documents;

• Environmental Violation: Reporting abandoned trash or other pollution. The issues specified in the annex will be considered by the Main Inspectorate for Environmental Protection.

How to use the new version of mObywatel?

Everyone will be able to use the mObywatel app from July 14th. It will be available for Android and iOS phones. We will find it in the Play Store or App Store. Just enter “mObywatel” in the app store and click the “Install” button.

Those interested in the changes can test the mObywatel app now. Until July 13, the beta version is available to everyone. After this time, all data will be deleted from the system. However, during the testing phase, we will not use mProof. All because until July 14 he is not honored in any office.

Testing mObywatel on Android

1. Launch the Play Store;
2. In the top line, enter “mObywatel”;
3. Touch the app with your finger;
4. Scroll down the page where you will find the “Join Beta Program” tab;
5. Click Join.

Testing mObywatel on iOS

1. Go to the app store;
2. Download the application “Test Flight”;
3. Run the application;
4. Next to “mObywatel” click the “Install” button.
