Kaleidoscope (previously Puzzle) will be Netflix’s next major heist drama series, at least that’s what it’s been promised. When the Netflix original was ordered in 2021, the working title was Puzzleand it’s worth mentioning that this has nothing to do with the continuation of the 2017 horror film series, Had seen. In fact, the upcoming thriller looks more like it could be a good sequel to the worldwide hit. money robbery, with all the crime, action and drama.
The most remarkable thing about Kaleidoscope is his story. Unlike most other series, this thriller is built in a non-linear order and you can watch the episodes in random order, without any particular order. Still, the order of the episodes you watch will be tied to the finale. In case you’re wondering if this is similar to the streamer’s earlier interactive movie Black Mirror: Bandersnatchit doesn’t, but it definitely seems like an interesting and unique way to present a crime thriller.

How many episodes are in Kaleidoscope?
Kaleidoscope eight episodes are planned, all of which will air on the same day as the release. All episodes are non-linear, meaning the storyline does not follow a specific chronological order. This works in line with the core feature of the series, which is to make it interactive in some way.
You can watch any episode/s and still get the whole story except for the ending. In other words, you can watch the remaining seven episodes in any order, but episode 8 can only be watched at the end.

Netflix released the official trailer Kaleidoscope December 13, 2022 and highlighted as “Seven Billion Ways to Solve a Crime”, which basically indicates the show’s non-linear narrative. The two-and-a-half-minute clip quickly takes you through the plot of the series, introducing a gang of thieves led by Leo Papa who plan to break into the most secure vault in the world, which holds $7 billion, the gang’s target. It’s explosive, literally, and a bloodbath with multiple back-to-back action sequences, making it apt for its genre. The trailer also briefly hints that Kaleidoscope it’s a heist thriller, it’s also a revenge story, most notably for Leo, who seems to have been betrayed by Robert Salas, the vault’s security expert.

Who is in the kaleidoscope?
The Netflix original series boasts an ensemble cast that includes the likes of Giancarlo Esposito and Pas Vega title. Jai Courtney, Rufus Sewell, Tati Gabriel, Peter Mark Kendall, Rosalyn Albey, Nyusha Nurand Jordan Mendoza also a star.
As confirmed by Netflix, the main characters played by the Kaleidoscope cast are as follows:
Giancarlo Esposito plays Leo Papa, the leader of a gang of robbers who has been in the business for a long time. He is described as “well-witted, energetic and driven, with an engineer’s mind and meticulous attention to detail”.
Paz Vega as Ava Mercer, a lawyer with questionable morals but very dedicated to his clients. She is known for her strength and persuasiveness both in and out of the courtroom.
Rufus Sewell as Roger Salas, a former thief who is now a top level security expert. He is described as a ruthless salesman with a remarkable ability to manipulate people to his advantage.
Tati Gabriel as Hannah Kim, a member of a heist team that handles high-stakes financial scams and petty crime. They call her a “chameleon”.
Peter Mark Kendall as Stan Loomis, a small-time smuggler but a romantic at heart with a passion for all the good things life has to offer.
Other cast features Albey as Judy Goodwin, the team’s explosives expert, and Courtney as Bob Goodwin, the Bear Team’s cracker; Noor as Nazan Abassi, an FBI agent and the team’s main enemy who threatens to disrupt the entire operation.
The cast also includes Patch Darra like Andrew Covington Hemki Madera like Carlos Stacy Oristano like Barbara Loomis with washing like Ted Gough Max Casella like taco, Robin Lee like Lily and James August Lee as Cade, among others.
Who are the creators of Kaleidoscope?
Kaleidoscope created by American writer, screenwriter and producer Eric Garcia. He is best known for his books, Matches Men and Repo Men (also known as Seizure of Mambo), on which popular films of the same name were shot. He also wrote Anonymous Rex book series, one of which was made into a sci-fi channel series that Garcia produced and wrote. He also has a 2019 thriller in his filmography, Strange but it’s truewith Amy Ryan starring.
Garcia is also one of the show’s writers, along with Garret Lerner (Smallville), Keith Barnow (Real blood), Kalen Egan, Ning Zhouand a writing duo Evan Endicott & Josh Stoddard (Beta versions), writing for various episodes.
The crime thriller is being produced by Scott Free Productions and Automatik Entertainment with Garcia and Ridley Scott serving as executive producers along with David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Justin Levyand Russell Fine.

When is the Kaleidoscope filmed?
Filming for Kaleidoscope began in September 2021 at the Netflix Studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Production on the entire series ended in March 2022. The official name has been changed to Kaleidoscope in November 2022.
When is Kaleidoscope coming out?
Plot Kaleidoscope covers 24 years before the robbery and approximately one year after. The heist takes place around the time of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Thus, history will move forward and backward in time. It will be interesting to see how the random viewing order affects the chronology of the story.
What is the history of the Kaleidoscope?
History Kaleidoscope Inspired by the real events of Hurricane Sandy, when $70 billion worth of bonds went missing in midtown Manhattan. The crime drama series fictionalizes this particular event and aims to tell the story of the biggest heist ever attempted, based on retaliation and complex schemes, and the crew’s loyalty is called into question.
Leo Pap, a high-strategy thief and the mastermind behind the heist, takes center stage in the story with a grand plan to rob the city of Manhattan. As the city struggles with the natural disaster, the master robbers have one plan - to break into the most secure vault in the city, sitting with a huge amount of money. Catch? The vault appears to be indestructible and impossible to enter, and is also guarded by the most powerful security team in the world.
But on his tail is the ruthless FBI agent Nazan, who will not stop until she finds the money and puts the entire gang of thieves behind bars.
In general, the story of Kaleidoscope similar to most classic heist stories and will most likely remind you of money robbery. But this series differs from other stories in this genre with a non-linear narrative, which makes it more interactive. This new Netflix original will definitely appeal to fans of crime thrillers and heist dramas.
