Air defense worked powerfully: invaders attacked southern Ukraine with drones at night, there are hits

On the night of July 15, the Russian occupation troops tried again to attack southern Ukraine with kamikaze drones. Air defense forces have worked, but there are also hits.

This was announced on the air of the telethon by the press secretary of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Gumenyuk.

She noted that the occupiers are concerned about the situation in the Zaporozhye direction, and also because the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may start crossing the Dnieper. Therefore, they attack the front-line regions.

So, that night, the Russian army released Shahed-type kamikaze drones. Gumenyuk noted that three drones were shot down in the Mykolaiv region. This information was also confirmed by the head of the Nikolaev OV Vitaly Kim.

Also, according to Gumenyuk, there are hits in the Zaporozhye region. The consequences of the attack are not yet known.

“There was a powerful work in the Zaporozhye region of the air defense forces. Unfortunately, there is a hit, but the results of the night attack are still being summed up, ” the speaker emphasized.

In addition, explosions were heard during the air raid in Zaporozhye.

“As a result of the actions of the invaders this night, an infrastructure facility was damaged in one of the districts of the city. The housing stock was also damaged - windows flew out in four multi-storey buildings, ” - said the secretary of the Zaporozhye City Council Anatoly Kurtev.

Unfortunately, there is an injured person. The man was taken to a medical facility in moderate condition.

All relevant services are working at the site and a city council tent is being set up, the official added.

Recall that over the past day, Russian invaders also hit the territory of Ukraine, using 17 Iranian-made drones of the Shahed type, 16 of which the Ukrainian air defense destroyed. The total losses of Russians in Ukraine are already more than 237,000 military, hundreds of thousands of military equipment, including almost 4,000 drones.
