In addition to weapons and other assistance, to defeat the enemy, Ukraine now needs to have a clear vision of what our state will be like after the war.
This was stated President Volodymyr Zelensky in an appeal based on the results of 442 days of the war and added that he approved a comprehensive strategic plan for reforming the country’s law enforcement system - all law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor’s office.
“To put it simply, we must provide such a system of guaranteeing justice and the rule of law for our country, which will also meet our goal of Ukraine’s rapid accession to the EU - we add our readiness to realize this goal, and, no less important, we guarantee the foundations new social contract, which are obviously determined now in the defense of our state”– explained the President of Ukraine.
Each element of the state system, including law enforcement agencies, must work in such a way that people really feel safe and secure, justice, so that this is guaranteed at the level of institutions, at the level of the daily work of those by whom people judge the state. Trust in the state is formed from trust in those acting on behalf of the state. Law enforcement officers, the prosecutor’s office are key in this.
“Ukraine must become and has already become a place of power for Europe and the entire free world. We must ensure maximum security in Ukraine, maximum freedom, maximum respect for the law, for the individual.”Zelensky stressed.
He is sure that this is the answer to the question that we are building Ukraine after the war. Of course, this should be a state that respects people and is respected in the world. A state whose example of life is respected by all.
“The path to this begins now. It begins in actions, personal decisions of each and every belligerent, works for Ukraine and for all Ukrainians.”- said the head of state.
Recall that the President of Ukraine, in an interview with the American edition of The Washington Post, noted that our country and the aggressor state Russia have a large front line and the Ukrainian military may begin to attack in one of the directions.
