Heading into the eighth and final round of the women’s Tour de France, Katarzyna Neviadoma was still in contention for a historic podium finish in the first women’s Tour de France. The race was very tight, and Byalo-Chervona also had to fight on the road with rivals who were just behind her in the general classification.
For example, with the Frenchwoman Juliette Labus, who was 49 seconds behind the podium before the start of the final stage, and it was this cyclist Nevyadomskaya who had to fight the most on the track. Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) and Cecilia Uttrup Ludwig (FDJ-Suez-Futuroscope) also had mathematical chances for the podium.

At the last stage of the Tour de France, Polka finished fourth. The first was Annemiek van Vleuten, who also won the overall Le Tour. Just behind her was Demi Vollering, who also came in second. Minimally overtook the Pole Silvia Persico, who crossed the finish line nine seconds earlier than Neviadoma.
The biggest rival of our representative, Juliet Labus, finished four seconds behind Byalo-Chervona. Luckily, the Italian was more behind the Polish than the French, placing Katarzyna Niewiadoma third overall in the new Tour de France women’s formula.
