EU countries have agreed on important rules that will come into force in 2035. The release and registration of new cars running on gasoline or diesel fuel will be prohibited. The ban was approved on March 28 by the EU Council of Ministers at a meeting in Brussels. Consultations and negotiations on this issue continued for several weeks.
Only Poland voted against. Bulgaria, Italy and Romania abstained.
Germany resisted for a long time, but in the end a compromise was found that satisfied Berlin and the representative of the FRG voted for the innovations.
At the insistence of Germany, an exception was made for cars with internal combustion engines running on carbon-neutral synthetic fuels (e-fuel).
European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans welcomed the ban. “This is an important step towards emission-free mobility.“, he stressed.
German Environment Minister Steffi Lemke believes that now the automotive industry in the EU countries has gained important confidence for this industry. Companies will be able to plan their activities calmly. And now the priorities for the development of the automotive industry are clearly defined.

I am currently working as a news website author at Daily News Hack. I mostly cover trending news and have been doing so for quite some time now. I have always had a keen interest in current affairs and the world around me, which is what led me to my current job.
I firmly believe that the best way to learn about something is by doing it yourself and that is why I love my job so much. It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others.
I am also a big believer in the power of networking and building relationships. I think that LinkedIn is a great platform for connecting with like-minded people from all over the world.
