Ukraine has extended martial law and general mobilization. Men who will be sent to the war zone should take care of themselves and pack their bags in advance.
How to prepare a soldier’s suitcase, reminds TSN.ua.
First of all, you need to take documentation - passport, driver’s license, military ID. It is better to keep them in a special waterproof bag.
You also need a token with a personal number (name tag), a set of simple pencils and automatic pens.
What to take from clothes:
A dark-colored waterproof fabric jacket, a polyethylene raincoat, trousers (jeans).
Worn-in and waterproof shoes (sneakers), army berets are the best option. It is also advisable to take rubber slippers with shoes. The military is required to issue military boots, but it is very difficult to wear them around the clock.
A couple of warm fleece jackets, 2-3 cotton T-shirts.
Cotton and woolen socks, minimum 10 pairs, briefs. Extra pairs of socks and shorts will not hurt.
Gloves are thin leather, you can bicycle.
Black or green hat and buff. A buff is a piece of clothing that protects the neck and face of a person from dust, wind and snow.
Leather belt, best for an officer.
Also in the army you will need:
- watch, if any, shockproof, waterproof with dial illumination, ideally in a rubber case;
- a small LED flashlight. Batteries per shift (several pieces);
- folding derivative knife in a case;
- metal derivative mug;
- tourist carimat, sleeping bag.
- anti-sun plastic glasses in a reliable frame;
- a backpack of black or protective color, 60 liters;
- a phone, preferably rubberized, not touch-sensitive with a spare battery, phone charger, power bank;
- lighter (several pieces), matches;
- personal hygiene products - a small towel, 2-3 pieces of toilet soap, 1-2 pieces of laundry soap, toothpaste and a brush, preferably in a case, nail scissors or nippers, toilet paper, a razor or disposable machines, dry and wet wipes.
IN first aid kit you need to put the medicines and pills that you need. The state provides the military with a high-quality combat first-aid kit. But in the first aid kit there should be a medicine for headaches, drugs for poisoning, diarrhea, antibiotics, painkillers and antipyretics, vasoconstrictor drops in the nose, patches for corns and cuts, iodine, brilliant green, bandages, ordinary baby cream.
Recall that in Ukraine, from February 1, they change the approach to accruing additional monetary rewards to rear units and military personnel who are outside the combat zone.
