Football King Pele dies

At the age of 82, the best football player in the world of the 20th century, the legendary Brazilian striker Pelé, after whom the famous Maracanã stadium was named, died at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo.

In September 2021, the only three-time world football champion on the planet was diagnosed with a colon tumor, due to problems with which he was hospitalized in April 2022. In addition, Pele had health problems after hip replacement surgery, as well as due to kidney and prostate diseases. On November 29, Pele was again in the hospital, from which he never left (chemotherapy no longer helped, and the cancer only progressed). A few days before his death, the football legend managed to say goodbye to his relatives.

Over the years of his career, the “deputy of God in football”, who scored 77 goals in 92 matches for the Brazilian national team, played for only two clubs - the Brazilian Santos and the American New York Cosmos. Pele is a two-time winner of the Intercontinental Cup and the Copa Libertadores, the winner of the Super Cup of Intercontinental Champions and a ten-time champion of the state of São Paulo. During his bright football career in 1363 matches played, he scored 1281 goals against opponents!

The Brazilian is the best athlete of the 20th century according to the International Olympic Committee. And this despite the fact that the football player was not only not an Olympic champion, but also did not participate in the Olympics.

Pele was married three times during his life. From his first wife, Rose-Mary, whom he married in early 1966, the Brazilian has three children - daughters Kelly-Christina, Jennifer and son Edinho, who later defended the Santos gates without much success and went to prison for drugs.

The second time, 53-year-old Pele married only in April 1994, a 34-year-old blonde Assyria, a psychologist, who gave birth to twins of opposite sexes - Celeste and Joshua.

The third chosen one of the Brazilian is Marcia Sibela Aoki, 25 years younger than Pele. The King of Football met her back in the 1980s, and the couple began living together in 2010. However, the bride decided to legalize their relationship only five years later.

The dark-skinned handsome man did a good job on the side. He had at least two illegitimate children. In 2002, Pele recognized as his daughter Flavia Christina Kurtz de Carvalho. Now 54, she is the fruit of one of the King of Football’s fleeting romances in 1968. And another daughter, Sandra, was born in 1961 as a result of Pele’s extramarital affair … with a housekeeper (she died in 2006 of cancer). The parenthood of the famous Brazilian in both cases was confirmed by DNA tests.
