mObywatel 2.0 is still down and Minister Cieszynski is celebrating the success of the first day. A day after the introduction of the new mObywatel application, the system still shows a number of problems, and nervous users cannot access documents.
On Friday, July 14, the government launched the mObywatel 2.0 app. The new version of this useful tool should be a revolution in a very useful program that allows you to leave all your plastic documents at home. However, there is one condition - the application must work properly. Now this is a big problem.
mObywatel 2.0 not working - Internet users report a lot of problems
The problems began with the morning launch of mObywatel and continued until the time of this writing, which is more than 24 hours. We tested the work of the application on our own skin on Saturday morning - in our case there is no way to log in, and entering the correct password leads to a severe crash - an emergency closing of the application with throwing it to the home screen.
The tragically organized premiere was already described on Friday. Issues raised include: the crashes already mentioned, not being able to log in, cryptic “an error occurred” messages, or system information that “the application has stopped working.” In addition, the inability to upload documents, disable the biometric login option, and many other problems.
For many, the application worked fine in the previous version, but now it has become useless. Some people have been helped by manually reinstalling the app after the auto-update process in their chosen app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) failed. However, others have reported that they are happy with mObywatel 2.0 and have no problems.
In a comment to Niebezpiecznik, Digitization Minister Janusz Cieszynski pointed out that the app’s stability issues are temporary. It is expected that the installation process of the new version will require more server resources than the daily use of mObywatel. It should go to about encryption or certificate generation. As the politician says, this is temporary.
Tseshinsky about mObywatelu 2.0 - Internet users ridicule success propaganda
Cieszynski on Friday at 22:00 also tweeted the results of the first day with mObywatel 2.0. In the one and a half minute material, he, in particular, praises 220,000 pieces were released. electronic version of the identity card. “The future of Poland is digital, and there is no turning back from it,” he says arrogantly.
The minister also apologizes to the citizens and talks about the mistakes. It’s interesting that he does it… in the past tense. Despite the fact that it is clearly visible that critical technical errors continue even on Saturday. At the same time, he announces that experts will “work all weekend” on the amendments.
Polish experts from the IT industry and ordinary Internet users did not leave a dry trail about politics.
“Please sir. Doesn’t work. You can’t release an untested app. Apologies accepted, but we’re spending hundreds of millions. How to implement an app that can’t serve all stakeholders? Should it be digital Poland? I don’t know who it works for “If as many connections as today have given you clogging the service, then you have just revealed its high vulnerability to DoS / DDoS attack. amateurishness. Let me guess, Tusk is to blame for the application crash,” these are just some of the voices in wall of comments.
