Private Jet Service Group is suing Twitter alleging breach of contract and non-payment for two flights.

On Friday, PJS sued Twitter, saying the company refused to pay a $197,725 bill. Private Jet Services Group says Twitter used charter services on two flights between New Jersey and San Francisco on October 26 and 27 for former company marketing director Leslie Burland. Berland booked the flight as Musk’s $44 billion deal neared completion after months of litigation. The billionaire visited Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco on October 26 and closed the deal the next day.

Former director

According to Bloomberg, the director was fired in November when Musk fired about half of Twitter’s employees. The lawsuit against Twitter was filed in the US District Court in New Hampshire.

PJS alleges breach of contract and breach of quasi-contract in its lawsuit. In the lawsuit, the company alleges that two Twitter employees booked a flight from Berland to San Francisco and a return flight via email and SMS. The private company later tweeted a bill for the two flights in early November, but claims Twitter never paid.

Twitter responds to lawsuit

Twitter’s head of global strategic search, Marty O’Neill, emailed PJS on Nov. 16, stating that “Twitter is not responsible for these costs” as “only designated representatives” are allowed to book services through PJS.

The Twitter employee who booked one of the flights, Taylor DeLorenzo, responded to an email from O’Neal in November saying that then-CEO Paraga Agrawala authorized the flights.

Twitter doesn’t pay

This isn’t the first bill Twitter has allegedly refused to pay since Musk took over. Last month, The New York Times reported that some of the company’s vendors and suppliers were millions of dollars in debt. The publication reported that Musk’s employees said the company was not going to pay for the services because they were authorized by former management and not by Musk.
