A special entry appeared on Monday on the social networks of the Polish Volleyball Federation. The “White-Reds” appeared right from the European Championship, and the message concerned a very important issue. September is a special month in terms of cancer awareness.
Polish volleyball players played three matches of the European Championship. The Poles started with a 3-0 win over the Czech Republic, then beat the Netherlands 3-1 to defeat hosts North Macedonia 3-0. The “White-Reds” go from victory to victory, confidently advancing to the playoffs.

However, a volleyball team is not only sports emotions. On Monday, September 4, an entry appeared on social networks in which Byalo-Chervoni supported an important initiative. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The Polish national team wore special yellow ribbons for training during the European Championship.
- Hello. At today’s training, I and all my colleagues had yellow ribbons, which are a symbol. And the symbol of what? September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. And since we support this action, each of us, as I said, had a yellow ribbon on the training T-shirt, - Karol Klos, the center of the team, said in a special video.
It should be noted that this is not the first such event on the part of the Polish national volleyball team. For many years Biało-Czervoni has been supported, among other things, by the Gerosi Foundation, which helps children access the most modern and best cancer treatment in Poland. The foundation has been operating since 2009, raising funds for both medical equipment and medicines, chemicals and a better life for children in care.
In the case of the volleyball players of the Polish national team, the players, for example. money was collected in special banks during national team matches. This was the case, for example, during the Wagner memorial in Krakow, when Karol Klos acted as a foundation volunteer. Every year, with the participation of representatives, a special calendar is prepared, the income from which is transferred to the fund.

Byalo-Chervoni will play one more match at the European Championship on Tuesday, September 5th. The rivals of the world vice-champion (2022) will be the Danes. It is worth recalling that at the last European Championship (2021), the Poles were reaching for bronze medals.
