From Monday, June 5, Poland will be training in Warsaw before the start of the June training camp of white and red. Coach Fernando Santos is working with a select group of players who can’t hide their satisfaction with this fact.
Recall that the team under the leadership of Fernando Santos has two matches. The Portuguese coach started his work with the “white-reds” with a defeat (1:3) from the Czech Republic. A few days later, the Polish team rehabilitated itself, modestly (1:0) beating Albania. Both matches were held as part of the Euro 2024 qualification.
Alignment trainings for selected Polish representatives
Fernando Santos has decided that before FIFA announces an official deadline for the start of the training window in June, he will be happy to work with some members of the squad. The invitation received a wide circle, but some clubs vetoed it, so that finally the Portuguese from June 5 can work with … the elect.
“Of course we can play better, which is why we are in this additional training camp. We can develop and understand this as part of the national team. We can play better, we have more skills than we show in matches. We just need to get in the best position when we have the ball. The positioning itself can somehow make the field look bigger and harder for the opposition to defend, so we are working on getting into the right positions and catching the width. And in defense, the dedication of the eleven players is the most important. As a team, we have to push our opponents harder,” Jan Bednarek admitted in an interview with Sport.pl.
Training takes place in Warsaw. On Friday, at a group training session led by Santos, there will be a meeting with the youth team of the Legia. The start of the actual training camp is scheduled for June 12.
