On Sunday, February 5, an athletics meeting was held in Tallinn, where Adrianna Sulek shone. The Polish athlete achieved the best result in the world this year in her competitions. She said that she has an ambitious goal.

Last weekend, one of the first athletics meetings in 2023 took place. This time the athletes, also Poles, had to compete in Tallinn. Adrianna Sulek, among others, performed in the capital of Estonia. Not only that, she performed well enough to get the best result of the year.

Athletics. Adrianna Sulek with the best all-around result in 2023

On the one hand, this is not surprising. The 24-year-old has been one of the top decathletes in the world for some time now. We saw a harbinger of her ability to do great things last season when she first won second place in the world in the indoor pentathlon and then came second in the European heptathlon. She performed not much worse at the World Championships in Eugene, where she finished the competition in 4th place.

In Estonia, the polka again performed excellently. In the 60m hurdles she had a time of 8:38 and in the 800m she had a time of 2:15:34. She jumped 1.82 meters high and 13.49 meters in the shot put. She excelled in her last competition, the long jump. She flew on it at 6.50. It was a new personal record for the representative of our country.

Ambitious plans of Adrianna Sulek

Thus, Sulek scored as much as 4702 points, which is the best result in the world in 2023. At the moment, she is chasing after herself, because she owns the Polish record (4851). However, it seems that the great performance in Tallinn is only a foretaste of what the decathlete plans to achieve this season.

– I have been training hard for the last few weeks, next month the European Indoor Championships in Istanbul. Should be much better. I would love to break the indoor world record,” she bluntly admitted in an interview with decathletesofeurope.co.uk. This is as much as 5013 points.
