Urinalysis is one of the main diagnostic procedures, as is a laboratory analysis of blood composition. It is funded by the National Health Fund, but you can do it yourself (without a referral from a therapist). How much will you have to pay for it. We checked.
The price of a urinalysis is quite low compared to the cost of an ultrasound (ultrasound) or x-ray. It ranges from a few to several tens of zlotys. In large cities such as Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk or Wroclaw, we will pay more for them than in smaller cities. In this case, much also depends on the reputation of the laboratory.
How much does a general urine test cost?
Urinalysis is a cost PLN 15-30. Thanks to this, it is possible to determine whether the urinary system and - indirectly - other organs, such as the pancreas, are functioning correctly. The diagnostician evaluates not only the composition of urine. It also analyzes its color and weight. Indications for the test are pain in the abdomen and back in the lumbar region, as well as pain and burning during urination. An extremely important “alarm signal” that should not be underestimated is the presence of blood in the urine. It is worth appearing for a general urine test and for preventive purposes (at least once a year)
How much does a urine culture and daily urine collection cost?
Urine culture is more expensive than general diagnostics. You have to pay for them from from 40 to 70 PLN. They are carried out in case of reasonable suspicion of infection. In turn, the daily collection of urine costs from 15 to 300 zł. It all depends on the type and amount of components determined in the urine.
