Up to 1100 meters per day: APU went on the offensive near Bakhmut

Must read

The Ukrainian military in the Bakhmut direction switched from defense to offensive. Over the past day there has been an advance up to 1100 meters in different areas.

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar in Telegram.

According to her, the Ukrainian defenders advanced from 200 to 1,100 meters in different parts of the Bakhmut direction over the past day.

Malyar noted that the invaders went on the defensive, trying to hold their positions. As the deputy minister notes, the Russians are drawing their reserves for this direction from the depth of protection.

“The Wagnerites remain here and there in the rear units. As of today, the regular army of Russia is conducting combat operations, using airborne assault units, ” - the message says.

Malyar explained that the Armed Forces of Ukraine manage to keep the defense in the Bakhmut direction thanks to the prepared fortifications.

“The whole area around is actually a fortified area. The fortification was being prepared in advance by the forces of our troops and local military administrations. Built capitally, she added.

As you know, in recent weeks the fighting near Bakhmut has intensified. The invaders were able to capture most of Bakhmut, but the AFU advanced on the flanks.

According to British military experts, the reason for the loss of flexibility of the Russian troops in this direction was the withdrawal of Wagner mercenaries from Bakhmut.
