President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Japan today, May 20.
He announced this in a telegram.
“G7. Meetings with partners and friends of Ukraine are important. Security and strengthening cooperation is our victory. Today the world will get closer,” the president wrote.
This is Zelenskiy’s first trip to Japan, the host country of the G7 summit, and to Asia since the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine last February.
On the sidelines of the summit, Volodymyr Zelensky held meetings with world leaders.
Yes, the President of Ukraine met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state, in particular on the platforms of international organizations. The President and the Prime Minister exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the UK and coordinated positions on the eve of the participation of the Head of Ukrainian State in the G7 summit. The Head of State thanked the Prime Minister of Great Britain for the leadership of the United Kingdom in the international fighter coalition. In addition, the parties discussed the further implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Ukraine to the UK, which took place on May 14.
