The second season of the show returns this April on Apple TV+ with a new take on the city, turning the city into a darker and sexier world.

Key and Strong star in the musical comedy show as a hiking couple who stumble upon the wonderful city of Shmigadoun. The upcoming season kicks off as Josh Skinner (Key) and Melissa Gimble (Strong) get stuck in their boring normal lives and yearn to return to exciting music city. The couple pack their bags and find themselves in Shmikago, a more mysterious city that seems to be a mix between Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street And Chicago. Soon the couple discovers that the inhabitants of the town are no longer the same as they remembered them, everyone seems mysterious and sinister. The once happy fun town has been turned into a nightmarish musical, and the pair now face danger in this naughty new town.

Once a bright and dreamlike world based on classic musicals, it becomes sinister with sexier, more violent and edgy musicals. The new series introduces not only the sultry world of Shmikago, but also a new cast. Shmigadun Season 2 will take a dark turn

Writer and Executive Producer Cinco Paul brought back the cast from the first season, this time as different characters with evil storylines. The reimagined world is based on musicals from the 1960s and 1970s. The new season includes original musical numbers inspired by dark musicals, as well as other compositions written by Paul, who also serves as showrunner.

The original series was created by Paul and Ken Daurio. Comedy series directed by Barry Sonnenfeld And Robert Luketic.
