Emmy Award winning creative Tyler Perry has identified his next project as part of a major deal with Netflix. Multigifenat will direct, write and produce the crime drama. My fault which will officially be his fifth film with the streamer after signing on for a World War II drama. Six Triple Eight at the end of last year. Perry will also have an exciting lead role in his latest film with Destiny child member Kelly Rowland set an asterisk.

My fault will follow a criminal defense attorney as she hopes to get that big, defining case that will finally make her a partner. She is tasked with protecting a dubious artist who may or may not have killed his girlfriend, crafting an elaborate last case to secure her future. Rowland will play a lawyer in a cast that also Moonlight star Trevante Rhodes near Sean Sagar, Nick SagarAnd Ron Reako Lee. Rowland will also be doing double duty on the film, co-producing with Perry. Angie BonesAnd Will Arew.

The film would be Rowland and Perry’s first collaboration, although Rowland had her share of the screen. The four-time Grammy Award winner transitioned from singing to acting, appearing in Think like a human, bad hair, Bridge Hollow CurseAnd Freddy vs Jason among other films. She recently joined Queen Latifah in season 3 Equalizer and starred in Paramount + fantasy football. My fault will not be her first role in a production since she produced Merry Christmas Liddle movies and also In pursuit of fate.

Perry and Netflix forged a very successful relationship with Netflix through his massive deal with the company.
