The Screen Actors Guild presented the stunt ensemble nominees for the 2023 SAG Awards, which included teams Avatar: Path of Water, BatmanAnd Andor. The Stunt Ensemble Award honors all stunt performers who work hard to bring breathtaking scenery to the silver screen.

A couple of years later, with theaters still suffering from the effects of the pandemic, 2022 was on the verge of huge blockbusters, each featuring breathtaking sets featuring dozens of stuntmen. While we always praise directors for how breathtaking sets are put together, we mustn’t forget that any minor action scenes require meticulous work from stuntmen who practice every day to perfectly execute complex choreography in front of the cameras. This means that the Stunt Ensemble SAG Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work of hundreds of people who give their blood and sweat to make cinema as spectacular as it is.

In 2023, the Screen Actors Guild presents two awards to stunt teams. The first award for Outstanding Stunt Performance in a Motion Picture recognizes the daring efforts of stunt performers to bring scenery to life in theatrical productions. The full list of nominees includes Avatar: Path of Water, Batman, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Top Shooter: MaverickAnd woman king.

For the television side of the business, the Screen Actors Guild is offering an award for Outstanding Stunt Ensemble Performance in a Television Series. Full list of nominees includes teams behind Andor, boys, Dragon House, The Lord of the Rings: Rings of PowerAnd very strange things. There are many strong hitters competing for both awards, and we think whoever comes in first is more than deserving of his prize, considering the great sets these stuntmen were able to put together.

When will the SAG Awards announce the 2023 winners?

The SAG Awards will be streamed live on Netflix’s YouTube channel on February 26 at 8:00 pm ET. The awards serve as a thermometer for the Oscars, highlighting the films most likely to take the Oscar home.
