So many exciting franchises will return in 2023, but perhaps the most anticipated is the highly anticipated return. Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Doom. Fifth and final entry in Harrison Ford The led series will hit theaters in June, which means fans will get a bunch of new Indy toys and merchandise. Hasbro started teasing their new “Adventure” action figure line late last year and just ran a special promotion. Indiana Jones livestream on a Wednesday dedicated to even more adventurous toys. This included a new line of “Retro” figures inspired by Kenner, but that’s only part of Hasbro’s treasure-rich 2023 lineup.
First, they announced three more action figures that are part of their Adventure line. Indy in the professor’s outfit can be seen throughout this historical franchise, Indy in the white tuxedo from the stunning opening scene Temple of Doomand the main villain The last crusade Walter Donovan, superbly played Julian Glover in film. This particular figure also comes with a fake Holy Grail and a second head sculpt that reveals Donovan’s eerie rapidly aging face, which resulted in a satisfying demise for the villain staring into your soul.
The next batch of toys is smaller for the adult collector and more for the new generation of young ones. Indiana Jones fans. The Indiana Jones World Adventures series will feature a line of children’s play sets depicting some of the most iconic scenes from the franchise. Indy has been running from the boulder since the beginning In Search of the Lost ArkIndy rides in his signature tie from The last crusadeand Indy rides a motorcycle from the classic movie chase scene The last crusade.
However, this line also includes play sets from the upcoming Dial of Fate which are the first toys introduced specifically for the new film. The two sets in question refer to the villain Dr. Jürgen Völler, played by Mads Mikkelsen in a World War II style plane and Phoebe Waller-BridgeHelena Shaw, Indy’s goddaughter, on a motorcycle. It will be interesting to see how these scenes play out in the movie. The last three products introduced by Hasbro were a talking Indiana Jones action figure with whip sound effects, a life-size version of the iconic Indiana whip, and the “Indiana Jones Monopoly”. The latest one is filled with Easter eggs, references and locations from five films.
Given that Dial of Fate this is the last time in a fedora for Ford, it’s great to see Hasbro celebrating the franchise with all their might. We hope that the famous toy company will have even more surprises in 2023 as there are still a couple of key characters such as Ke Hai Quanshort round and Sean ConneryHenry Jones Sr., who has yet to receive any figure. However, while fans wait for these potential revelations, these new Indiana Jones toys will be released this spring. Just in time for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Doom will be released in theaters on June 30, 2023.
