It’s been weeks since the season 4 cliffhanger rocked very strange things fans to the core. During this time, there were small bits of information that kept us, for example, very strange things The Writer’s Room, which featured several excerpts from the Season 4 script, and the revelation that the Indiana Hotel made one of its suites look like Byers’ living room.
Other than that, no whole information about the upcoming fifth and final season has been released. With that in mind, it seems like the only option for fans is to remember what they’ve already seen and come up with something new to discuss. For example, which character is the smartest.
Bob - Bob the Brave
If you have a puzzle to solve, you better hope for Bob Newby (Sean Astin) to help you. Luckily for Joyce, Will and Mike, a tech expert arrives at Joyce’s house just in time to decipher the hidden meaning behind all of Will’s weird drawings.
If not for his unexpected arrival, Hopper would most likely have died in that tunnel under Hawkins, and it goes without saying that a world without Hopper is not worth thinking about. Bob is gone, but the memory of him and the memory of his ingenious puzzle solving will live on forever.
Murray Bauman - karate expert, vodka drinker
Say that Murray BaumanBrett Gelman) life has changed dramatically since Barb’s parents hired him to investigate her disappearance - to put it mildly. He not only found out about the Upside Down, but also infiltrated the secret Russian headquarters and survived the plane crash.
Murray’s intelligence came to the rescue on numerous occasions. Not only can he speak multiple languages, but he comes pretty close to solving Barb’s case unaided, which, given the other dimension’s involvement, is no small feat.
Erica Sinclair is a fan of My Little Pony
Although she tries her best to hide it, Erica Sinclair (Pria Ferguson) botanist. When she’s not too busy eating sample after sample of free ice cream or hanging out at the mall, Erika is probably watching My little pony or refining the characteristics of her Dungeons and Dragons character.
Erica’s intelligence has helped the gang on numerous occasions, and her bravery doesn’t hurt either. Although her older brother Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) would never admit it, Erica is definitely the smartest member of the Sinclair family.
Joyce is everyone’s favorite mom
For Joyce ByersWinona Ryder), these past few years have been much harder than she could have imagined. First, her youngest son, Will, disappeared and all of Hawkins thought she was crazy when she refused to come to terms with his death. Since then, she has played a key role in keeping the Mind Flayers and Demogorgons at bay.
In fact, she impressed Hopper so much with her investigative instincts in Season 3 that he asked her to join the police force. It’s safe to assume that Joyce’s intuition and intelligence will continue to be an important asset to our heroes, and perhaps after this is over, she will be able to accept Hopper’s job offer.
Robin Buckley - Much smarter than Steve
She may not have joined the cast until the third season, but Robin Buckley (Maya Hawk) has made a huge impression on viewers so far. Not only can she translate into Russian, tell incredible trivia from movies, and withstand brutal Russian interrogations, but she can also think on her feet.
When she and Nancy are denied entry to visit Victor Creel, she immediately puts in a compelling, well-crafted story that gains the warden’s trust and allows them access to Creel, essentially saving Max’s life in the process. Not bad for a new member of the Hawkins Monster Hunter Club.
Jim Hopper is the best small town detective you’ll ever meet.
If anyone thinks that police work in a small town is easy, then they are clearly unaware of the gigantic task facing Chief Jim Hopper.David Harbor). Not only must he continue to keep the people of Hawkins in order, but he must also contain the Upside Down, provide a loving home for his adopted daughter, and ensure the world doesn’t find out the truth about what happened. in the Hawkins laboratory.
Although he may drink too much and often act irrationally, Hopper is one of the smartest people in Hawkins. He learned the truth about Hawkins Lab, helped Eleven constantly evade the US government, and was the first to realize something was wrong in the second season. When it comes to police chiefs, there is simply no one better than Jim Hopper.
Dr. Sam Owens - The Man with the Impossible Job
Let’s face it Dr. Sam OwensPaul Reiser) was doomed to failure. Replacing Dr. Brenner, hiding the truth about his experiments, and trying to find a solution to the damage caused by his predecessor was an impossible task. However, thanks to a combination of incredible intelligence and kindness, Dr. Owens did his job much better than expected.
He helped Will escape the Mind Flayer’s clutches, he worked hard to protect Eleven, and even worked alongside Brenner to help her regain her powers, knowing it was the only way to keep the world safe. Overall, we’d say he did a pretty good job.
Dustin - No collarbones and big brain
Where would Mike, Eleven, Steve and the rest of our heroes be without Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo)? The answer is not worth thinking about. In four seasons, Dustin was the first to make a number of important discoveries. He found that the compasses were affected by the gate. He discovered that the Russians had infiltrated Hawkins. More recently, he discovered a water gate that helped the gang uncover Vecna’s sinister plan.
He may be younger than most of the people on this list, but Dustin Henderson is definitely one of the smartest characters on Stranger Things and we expect him to get even smarter when he returns for the fifth and final season.
Susie Bingham is much smarter than her boyfriend
Susie BinghamGabriella Pizzolo) may not know, but she saved the world twice. The character, who has only appeared in a few episodes so far, has a plethora of skills that have delighted Stranger Things fans around the world. She can hack (especially if Dustin needs help with a bad grade), she can sing (Endless story it’s her favorite jam), and best of all, she can quote Planck’s constant without thinking. Her exceptional intelligence quickly made Susie a fan favorite and it will be interesting to see if she finally makes the trip to Hawkins in season five.
Dr. Martin Brenner - He is as smart as he is evil
He may be one of the most evil characters in the entire series, but Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) is the smartest character in the entire series. The character, who spent years experimenting on a group of children who had telekinetic abilities, played a key role in the accidental discovery of the Upside Down. Then, after disappearing for several seasons, Brenner returned in the fourth season to help Elle rediscover the powers that made her so formidable. He may have been granted an honorable death, but Brenner will forever remain known as a villain.
His years of torture and experimentation have turned many children’s lives into hell, but in doing so, he has created the only person capable of stopping Vecna. His intelligence will be lacking, and the character is not.
