New roads until May. What happens on A1?

Must read

Until the May weekend, the last works on the A1 highway will be completed. GDDKiA estimated that the journey from Gdansk to the Czech border would take about five hours, with a rest break.

In the coming days, the construction of the A1 motorway will be completed, and drivers will be able to easily drive from Gdansk to the border with the Czech Republic. Although all lanes along the entire length are already passable, three lanes in the section between Kamensk and Piotrków Trybunalski have a speed limit of 100 km/h. This restriction will be lifted by May.

GDDKiA. New interchange near Warsaw

Finishing work is underway on the middle section between Warsaw and the Gruiec bypass road. Thick-layer road markings are applied, the last fillings of acoustic screens are installed. Cleanup work is underway. At the first stage, both roads will be accessible to drivers, but with a speed limit of 80 km/h between the Leshnovola and Tarczyn Polnots interchanges. Thus, the already functioning sections of S7 from Warsaw and Gruyec will be connected.

The opening date of the main route depends on the completion of all work, acceptance and receipt of permission for commissioning.

“The opening of the main route between Lesznowola and Tarczyn will significantly change the communication system south of Warsaw. We will share the common course of two expressways, S7 and S8, which is currently accumulating in the section between the Opacz junction on the Warsaw South Bypass and Janki. Therefore, we are already making changes at the Opach crossroads, dividing the directions to Krakow and Wroclaw, which will be announced later.
