Such actions of the former commander of the Berkut battalion led to the killing of 3 protesters, infliction of severe bodily injuries 5, moderate - 43, light - 77 “- the message says.

The DBR added that a unit of law enforcement officers from the Lviv region under his leadership, together with others, used physical force and special equipment against the protesters, including light-noise grenades made in the Russian Federation, pump-action shotguns filled with cartridges with lead buckshot. According to the State Bureau of Investigation, then about 200 people received bodily injuries, including gunshots, of varying severity.

The defendant is suspected of exceeding official authority, committing a terrorist act, organizing grievous bodily harm, as well as committing premeditated murders and completed attempts to kill two or more protesters.

The name of the suspect is not known, but it is known that in those years the unit was headed by Rostistav Patselyak.
