Law enforcement officers are increasingly recording facts when relatives, spouses or close people are guilty of a crime.
Recently, the Rivne regional prosecutor’s office filed an indictment against a resident of Obarov, who is charged with the premeditated murder of his underage girlfriend, the department reported.
The investigation established that on the evening of November 7 last year, a 21-year-old guy, while at home, hit his girlfriend, a 17-year-old resident of the village of Rudai Krasnaya, several times with a hammer on the head.
From her injuries, the victim died at the scene, and the attacker pulled her body out into the street, told his relatives on the phone about what had happened and disappeared.
The father of the young man reported the crime to law enforcement officers.
The guy was arrested the same evening. He is currently in custody. The defendant admits his guilt, but cannot explain the motives of the act.
The offender faces up to 15 years in prison.
