In Germany, where Ukrainian refugees found refuge, our fellow citizens are participating in mass actions, talking about the horrors of Russian aggression. This happened on the anniversary of the large-scale invasion of the Russian armed forces on February 24th.
According to lenta.ua, on the occasion of the anniversary, such an action took place in the German city of Lörrach, the sister city of Vyshgorod, Kyiv region. In this small town, according to unofficial data, about 5 thousand Ukrainians found refuge.
The people who came out to the rally carried photographs of Ukrainians whose lives were claimed by Russian aggression. One of them is 31-year-old Vyshgorod policeman Aleksey Ponomarenko, who died on March 9, 2022 during the evacuation of residents of the Vyshgorod district.
The photographs of innocently killed Ukrainian children, in particular, 4-year-old Liza, whose life was cut short during rocket attacks on Vinnitsa in August 2022, were especially struck by the photos of innocently killed Ukrainian children present at the rally.
The action was attended by German politicians. Thus, the representative of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, Hubert Bernath, noted that without the supply of weapons to Ukraine it is still impossible to achieve peace, and also recalled that the lack of an adequate reaction in the world actually prompted the Nazi regime to further military aggression.
Recall that in March last year, a mass rally was held in Berlin, where people with Ukrainian flags lay down on the ground in front of the Bundestag, demonstrating the horror of the tragedy in Bucha near Kiev.
