Canadian police have announced a wanted list for two suspects in the Sept. 4 massacre in Saskatchewan.
The head of the Royal Canadian Mounted Saskatchewan Police, Rhonda Blackmore, said at least 10 people were killed. Another 15 were stabbed.
Victims were found at 13 different locations, including the Canadian Native settlement of James Smith Cree Nation and the village of Weldon. Police believe that some were killed on purpose, while others were accidental victims.
Damien Sanderson (31) and Miles Sanderson (30) are suspected of the massacre. They drive a black Nissan Rogue. They were last seen in the city of Regina, which is about 320 kilometers south of the attack site.
Local authorities urged Saskatchewan residents to take refuge in safe places and not leave them. A state of emergency has been declared on the James Smith Cree Nation. The motive for the crime that shocked all of Canada is being established.
Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau called the massacre in Saskatchewan “terrible and frenetic”. “I think of those who have lost a loved one and those who have been injured”he wrote on Twitter.
The government took control of the investigation and the search for suspects.
