Two ski jumping competitions in Lake Placid are scheduled for Feb. 11. Immediately after the individual competition, it became known who will represent the white-red in duets. What time does the competition start? Where can I watch the broadcast online and on TV?
On February 11, history will be written before our very eyes. On this day, the first duet competition will take place. This is a new format that debuted just in time for the competitive weekend in Lake Placid. Naturally, there will be no shortage of Poles at these competitions.
David Kubatsky and Piotr Zhyla will perform a duet in Lake Placid
As the name suggests, athletes will compete in pairs. The competition includes as many as three series of jumps. As many as 13 teams will join the first one, after which one of them will be eliminated. After the second, 4 more teams will say goodbye to the competition. In the last round, 8 duets will fight for the main prizes. It is also known that points scored by jumpers in this format will count towards the overall score of the Nations Cup.
Shortly after the end of the individual competition, Thomas Turnbichler announced who would represent Poland in pairs. The Austrians have relied on the two leaders of our team - David Kubatsky and Piotr Zhyla. This decision came as a surprise, because the latter performed poorly in the individual competition, as he took only 19th place. According to experts, Alexander Znishhol, who was 13th, deserved more performance in pairs.
Lake Placid Duet Competition - what time is it streaming online and on TV?
