New mobile air defense groups are being created in Ukraine

A full-scale war has been going on in Ukraine for a year and seventy-five days. During this time, Russia not only constantly shells the territory of our country, but also inflicts a large number of missile and air strikes. Such a number of attacks has not yet known the world, recognized in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The world has never faced such a huge number of air and missile strikes. But we are trying to find the most effective methods of counteracting airborne dangers.”- said the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Naev.

According to him, the Defense Forces will create new mobile air defense groups protecting the sky over Kiev and in northern Ukraine.

Naev showed enemy drones shot down by Ukrainian defenders.

For the past two days, the enemy has been attacking the territory of Ukraine with “shaheeds” and sea and air-based cruise missiles.

At about 10:00 pm on May 8, the enemy fired eight Caliber cruise missiles from carriers in the Black Sea, heading for the eastern regions of the country. All eight were destroyed by air defense forces and means. All drones have also been destroyed.

At about 4 am on May 9, the invaders launched 17 Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles from strategic aircraft from the Caspian region.

All cruise missiles were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense of the Center air command.

In total, during the two waves of shelling of Ukraine on the night of May 9, 2023, the Russian invaders launched 25 Kalibr and Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles. 23 of them were destroyed by air defense.

As FAKTY reported, on the night of May 4, air defense forces shot down a Russian Kinzhal missile in the sky of the Kiev region for the first time.
