Even though the WGA strike is in full swing and several series have already announced that production is halted until a fair wage deal is reached, one of the shows that the strike will not be affected (at least for the time being) creature) owned by HBO Dragon House. Game of Thrones Filming for the prequel had already begun, and the scripts for the full season were ready long before the strike began.
As filming progresses, we’ll be receiving regular updates on the epic series over the coming months, some of which have already surfaced thanks to a Collider interview with the series’ director. Claire Kilner (Through the snow). She told in an interview Teresa Laksonthat five different directors were hired to create eight episodes of the second season. However, she did not reveal the names of the other four directors. Kilner also spoke about how her filming schedule will evolve over the next few months:
“I’ve been filming for a few days over the past couple of weeks and then, actually, tomorrow I’m fully immersed in work until September. Yes, I am doing Episodes 2 and 5, very interesting episodes. It’s really hard to talk about it because I’m afraid I’ll give it away, but it’s great. It’s really wonderful, having starred in the previous three episodes, to get into something that looks like such a family. I know the actors, I have such a rapport with them, you know, it’s simple, it’s really exciting. I’m always nervous about a new job, even if I know everyone, but I love it.”
Kilner is a veteran of Westeros.
In the popular first season Dragon HouseKilner directed three of the ten episodes: “King of the Narrow Sea”, “We Light the Way”, and “The Green Council”. Considering what she’s had to deal with as a director - a much-discussed incest scene in episode 4 and a chaotic wedding in episode 9 - it’s safe to say that Kilner is a veteran in this world. So when she calls her two episodes “really interesting,” you just know you can expect turning points in the upcoming episodes 2 and 5 of the second season.
Dragon House It premiered in August 2022 and received excellent ratings - achieved, of course, because fans Game of Thrones wanted to return to Westeros. The series is set two centuries before the events of the flagship series and centers around the struggle of House Targaryen to hold onto the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms. For season 2 Matt Smith, Graham McTavish, Eva Best, Steve Toissan, Emma D’Arcy, olivia cook, And Rhys Ifans everyone is ready to reprise their roles. The new season is expected to debut in 2024.
