American rap artist Cardi B will voice the upcoming spin-off of the animated film Big Movie Baby Shark! According to a recent article Diversityshe will join the original voice cast of the Nickelodeon series, Big show little shark as well as other stars, including High School Music SchoolX Ashley Tisdale.
Big Movie Baby Shark will premiere this year’s holiday season exclusively on Paramount+, first in the US and then internationally. Her role in the film has yet to be announced, but she will join the stars from the original series. Big show of little sharks, which premiered in 2021 on Nickelodeon. movie will see Kimiko Glenn (Orange is the new black, Goldbergs), Luke Youngblood (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf), Natasha Rothwell (American dad!, Sonic the Hedgehog 2), Eric Edelstein (jurassic world, minx), Debra Wilson (Mickey Mouse Fun House, Freaks), And Patrick Warburton (Family man, Duel) reprise their voice roles as Baby Shark, William, Mom Shark, Grandma Shark, and Grandpa Shark, respectively.
The American rapper will also join a slew of famous voice actors, including fellow musician and actress Tisdale. Tisdale made famous by Disney High School Music School franchise as the antagonist Sharpay Evans and has since starred in several films and television series, including voicing other animated series such as Skylander Academy- will voice Starian. Stariana, who has been described as a “savvy and manipulative rising pop star”, will be the antagonist of a film determined to create a “popularity surge” and take center stage. Cardi B and Tisdale will also be joining Aparna Nancherla (Bob’s Burgers, Simple service), Ego Nvodim (Saturday night life, Agent Elvis), Chloe Fineman (Big mouth, Babylon), Lance Bass (Newbie, single parents), and a group of belugas voiced by the K-pop sensation. Big Movie Baby Shark was first announced last August and is a feature-length spin-off of Nicolodean Junior’s hit children’s series. Big Baby Shark Show! The film follows Baby Shark (Glenn) as he and his family move to a big city, also known as Chomp City (big shark city). Unfortunately, adjusting to life without his best friend William (Rothwell) isn’t the only problem Baby Shark will face; he must also prevent Stariana (Tisdale) from stealing his gift of song and restoring harmony to the seas. Gary ‘Doodles’ DiRaffaele (breadwinners, Midnight Gospel), Tommy Sika (Blue’s Big City Adventure), and the writer Whitney Rolls (My Little Pony: Pony Life, Emptiness), will reprise their roles as executive producers for the upcoming film, with Nickelodeon Animation producing for the United States under Eric Cezmiro And Miriam Ritchie. Both the film and television series are based on the 2015 YouTube music video “Pinkfong Baby Shark”. The Youtube video set a world record by being the first video to reach 10 billion views on the platform. Since its inception, there have also been many viral videos based on the #BabySharkChallenge hashtag as well as hits.
