invincible it’s not easy for the fans. Having completed eight episodes of the first season of the animated series in 2021, they had no choice but to wait for a long production period that has already been going on for two years. However, they may feel a little better about knowing that the show’s creator Robert Kirkman fully aware that the wait is long and unfair. During the press tour to promote RenfieldKirkman took some time to talk about the Prime Video series.
During the interview, Kirkman told our editor-in-chief Steve Weintraub at what point in production invincible Season 2 is there and he commented on why he’s happy for people to see it. The series creator and writer also took the time to talk about their hopes for Season 3 and beyond, teasing that we can now consider smaller gaps, saying, “I can’t tell. Far enough that there isn’t a similar gap between Season 2 and Season 3.” He further shared, “It’s a pain. This area is a pain for Invincible fans right now. So once we get through that, as soon as Season 2 comes out, hopefully everything will be smooth sailing. Theoretically, there should not be these big, big gaps.”
For the second season, Kirkman gave a tiny progress report, explaining that “everything is going great. Don’t wait until people finally see it so they stop asking me about it.”
What do we know about invincible season 2 so far
Even though season 2 invincible confirmed to premiere in 2023, we don’t yet know what release window Prime Video is looking at. For now, we just know that it will be later this year. The first trailer was released earlier this year and it fully acknowledged the fact that the series was gone for a long time and then went meta to discuss why it happened. Even though the trailer doesn’t say anything about Season 2’s story, we broke down its easter eggs so you can find out what the show’s team wanted to reveal to their fans.
