Dark Horse Comics is gearing up for release Stranger Things: The Hawkins Storiesa new anthology series designed to expand very strange things Universe. Each chapter of the four-issue anthology will tell a different story set in Hawkins, exploring the gaps left by the successful Netflix series, according to a CBR report.
Stranger Things: The Hawkins Stories developed by the writer Jody Houser (Critical Role: The Origin of Vox Machina, Star Wars: Thrawn) and artists Cayo Filipe (Stranger Things: Summer Special, Nightwing), Sunando S (End after end) as well as Georgia Gio Esposito (Lunar Room, Doctor Who). The first issue of the new collection seems to be entirely dedicated to Demogorgon, as several versions of the cover depict the monster that became the main villain of the first season of the series. However, judging by the two unnamed hunters churning out some of the cover art, it’s likely that the first issue will focus on the ordinary people of Hawkins trying to survive the attack from the Upside Down.
According to Dark Horse Comics, the first issue of the new anthology will be in 1983, the same year of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) found Mike (Finn Wolfhard) in the woods, setting the events of the show in motion. As the synopsis for the first issue states, this is a story about “two friends who go into the woods with their rifles and a bag of six bottles. These would-be hunters become the prey of a nightmarish beast that has taken over the desert around the city and everything in it, including themselves.
Considering very strange things There have been four seasons so far, it’s fair to assume that each issue of a new comic book anthology will fill in some of the gaps left by each season. It would be a great way to wrap up the main events of the series while keeping fans interested in the franchise while we all look forward to (looking forward to) very strange things 5.
What can we expect from the future very strange things?
Beyond Mike and Eleven Season 4 very strange things sees the return of Chief Hopper (David Harbor), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), will be (Noah Schnapp), Maximum (Sadie Sink), Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder), Chief Hopper (David Harbor), Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman), Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), Robin Buckley (Maya Hawk) and Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer). The cast of season 4 also includes Jamie Campbell Bower, Charlie Heaton, Pria Ferguson, Kara Buonoas well as Matthew Modine. Most of the cast is expected to return in Season 5, at least the ones that are still alive.
Stranger Things 4 broke several Netflix records with more than one billion hours already expended by fans on the entire series. That’s why the streaming platform is already planning very strange things spin-offs to keep us hooked on Hawkins. Besides, very strange things creator Matt as well as Ross Duffer has signed a contract with Netflix to head several television projects in the near future, including Death Note series and adaptation tasliman1984 novel written Stephen King as well as Peter Straub.
