Academy Award Winner Jessica Chastain gave us an idea of her singing abilities in Tammy Faye’s eyes but now she will be able to put her voice front and center next to her co-star’s voice. Michael Shannon in George and Tammy. The limited series follows a tumultuous marriage between a country music duo. Tammy Wynette as well as George Jones, showing their struggles with fame, alcoholism, and alleged violence. Made Abe Sylviathe show is an adaptation of a book called The Three of Us: Growing Up with Tammy and Georgewhich was written by the couple’s only child Georgette Jones. When is George and Tammy coming out?
You won’t believe it, but you will see George and Tammy starting this weekend. The show will air simultaneously on TV and streaming and will premiere on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 9:00 pm ET. After the premiere of the first episode, the next ones will be streamed every Friday and broadcast on TV every Sunday evening.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Chastain revealed that she was offered the role of Wynette back in 2011 and was responsible for contacting Shannon about joining the project. The actors have already worked together in a film called find shelter. It’s nice to know that the wait is almost over and we finally get to see the look of these two true superstars.

Chastain hums Winnett’s iconic tune “Stand By Your Man” at the start of the trailer, bringing out the limited series’ country vibe. It was the country singer’s first No. 1 hit and was written during her relationship with third husband George Jones. The couple were known in the 70s as the queen and king of country music, and they were infamous for their duets. However, as the trailer suggests, addiction and the desire to maintain their popularity in the music scene were the determining factors behind their downfall. Juggling family and fame hasn’t been an easy path for them, but despite all that, the show looks set to capture the love the singers had for each other. After all, the last quote featured in this brief review is: “This love I have for you is so great it will last forever.”

As mentioned earlier, the series will be releasing a new episode every week on both streaming and cable. Instead of referring only to Wynette’s life (played by Annette O’Toole) life, Support your man details the star’s journey to becoming the first lady of country music and the challenges she faced in her three doomed marriages. While the focus is on Wynette, Jones (played by Tim McIntyre) also has a fair amount of screen time when the movie is about their relationship. Unfortunately, Support your man not currently available for streaming, rental or purchase, so here are two other movies you could watch instead:

In it we see Gwyneth Paltrow portraying fictional country music sweetheart Kelly Kanter. After leaving rehab, she’s ready to clean up her public image, smiling for the cameras and showing she still has what it takes to be a star. Although she has not fully recovered from her constant drinking, Carter returns to the studio to record new music and tours again. Trying to rebuild her failed career, the singer became friends with aspiring country singer Bo Hutton (Garrett Hedlund) and convinces her business manager/husband (played by Tim McGraw) to hire him as the opening act. He agrees to this deal on the condition that another child prodigy and beauty queen named Chiles Stanton (Leighton Meester) joins them on the road. As Bo and Chiles begin to bond with Kelly and her husband, they begin to wonder if love and fame can coexist.
