New 10th Anniversary Stadium in Warsaw? Vegetables and fruits are half the price there

Vegetables, fruits and groceries don’t have to be expensive, say vendors at one of the capital’s largest bazaars. They offer their products much cheaper than we pay in local bazaars or supermarkets. These are normal prices, say shoppers who shopped in droves.

Sunday morning in the Wola district of Warsaw. Thousands of people at the Olympia Bazaar, located next to the football club. Another river of consumers is directed to stores. When traffic lights change, a long group of people wait quickly. They look like an organized tourist trip or a fan trip to the stadium.

There are traffic jams on nearby streets. Unable to find a free parking space to leave the car. Many drivers have to look for a piece of free space for a long time. The bazaar, like a price magnet, attracts new buyers. According to many buyers, this is where you can make the cheapest purchases in Warsaw. Most products are three times cheaper than from sellers in local bazaars or in stores.

The rest can be bought for half the amount. The only difference is that most vegetables and fruits are arranged in boxes hastily placed on folding tables or coasters. However, this does not in any way confuse buyers. For them, the only determining factor is the low price. No one stood with a card, what purchases should be made in order not to overpay.

Cucumbers can be bought for a third of the price, tomatoes for half the price.

Long cucumbers can be bought at a price of PLN 2.99/kg. On Saturday, at local bazaars or nearby markets, they cost PLN 8-9/kg. You can buy other products for a lot less. Ordinary tomatoes cost PLN 3/kg, raspberry - PLN 4.99-5.99/kg; and cherry tomatoes could be bought for 3 zł per pack.

Strawberries and cherries enjoyed the greatest interest among buyers. The cheapest strawberry, the Rumba variety, costs between PLN 6 and 8 per kg. This is almost half the price of the capital’s bazaars. On the other hand, Roxana strawberries cost PLN 7/kg. The following varieties were slightly more expensive: Asia - up to 9 PLN/kg and Strawberry - up to 10 PLN/kg.

Cherries don’t have to be expensive. Buyers were pleasantly surprised by the low prices for fruit.

Cherry prices also stimulated the purchase of these fruits. The cheapest products cost PLN 11.99/kg. For this price, you could buy the Spanish variety Cordia. The buyers paid PLN 18/kg for Burlat cherries.

These were the prices for other foodstuffs: Polish cotoneaster potatoes - PLN 3.99/kg; watermelon - PLN 2.99/kg; melon - PLN 5/piece; avocado - PLN 3/piece; apples PLN 1-2/kg; paprika - PLN 9.9/kg; village eggs - from 65 gr / pc; category L eggs - 0.85 g / pc.; young carrots - PLN 7.5/kg; eggplant - PLN 3.99/kg; blueberries - PLN 25/kg.
