The budget of the Russian Federation for 2023 provides for an increase in defense spending. The details were revealed by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the state budget for 2023 allocated almost 1.5 times more funds for defense than a year earlier. The aggressor most likely has no plans to end the war.

In the next year’s budget, the funds allocated to the Ministry of Defense are supposed to be directed mainly to the further modernization of equipment and its production to ensure supplies to the army. Sergei Shoigu said that the budget would be increased by 1.5 times to give military formations and units the opportunity to maintain constant combat readiness and armament at the level of 97 percent.
“It is important to maintain the maximum possible volume of production, to organize forward deliveries for the army. It is necessary to further modernize and create promising systems with their subsequent use in the framework of a special military operation. - said the Russian Defense Minister, whose words are quoted by the Interfax agency. The head of the department also said that plans for 2024 and 2025 had changed, but did not disclose details.
Russia invests in artillery and missile forces
From the words of the Russian minister, one can also conclude that the aggressor does not plan to significantly change tactics. Shoigu says investments in rocket troops and artillery next year will be crucial.
