So, in the MTR they said that in January 2023 they really asked the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov to facilitate the departure of Trubitsyn and 4 other persons as volunteers to provide the MTR with “special equipment”.
“The above appeal was indeed initiated by the command of the Special Operations Forces in January 2023. The purpose of this appeal is to travel abroad Vladislav Trubitsyn as a representative of the Ridna Obolon charitable foundation and four other people, also from this foundation. The trip required him and a group of people to perform a special task of providing MTR with special equipment. Unfortunately, the nature of the task cannot be disclosed, as it contains data constituting an official secret.”- said the speaker of the MTR Alexander Kondratenko.
The MTR noted that they were “extremely negative” about the fact that “this person took advantage of such a pretext during the war for his own personal purposes and did not return to Ukraine to perform procedural duties in court.”
“We contributed to going abroad for the sake of good goals, namely the provision of SOF units with everything necessary to fight the enemy. As FACTS wrote, Vladislav Trubitsyn, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the Servant of the People, suspected of receiving a bribe of 1.39 million hryvnias for placing retail outlets in Kiev, was also wanted in Yerevan for stealing valuable books from the National Library of Armenia.
