Night enemy attack on Kyiv: most of the air targets were destroyed

The vast majority of air targets with which the Russians attacked Kyiv on the night of May 16 were destroyed.

This was reported in the Kyiv city military administration.

The KMVA noted that this is the eighth Russian attack on the capital since the beginning of May.

“This time, the enemy carried out a complex attack in different directions at the same time, using UAVs, cruise missiles and, probably, ballistic missiles. It was exceptional in its density - the maximum number of attacking missiles in the shortest period of time, ” - said the head of the KMVA Sergey Popko.

According to preliminary information, the vast majority of enemy targets in the airspace of Kyiv were detected and destroyed. Data on the number and type of missiles will soon be released by the Air Force, Popko said.

As a result of the attack, debris fell in the Solomensky, Shevchenkovsky, Svyatoshinsky, Obolonsky and Darnitsky districts of the capital.

“The greatest damage was in the Solomensky district - there was a fire in a non-residential premises and several units of automotive equipment. The fire has been extinguished. In other areas, the damage is not significant - in most cases, debris was found to fall on parked cars, a house adjoining territory or a forested area, ” - he said.

There is no information about the victims yet.

Recall that this night, May 16, an air alert was announced almost throughout Ukraine. And on May 14, Ternopil survived a powerful missile attack.
