The British newspaper The Sun published a photo of the official invitation to the coronation of Charles III and his wife Camilla, which is scheduled for May 6. The first thing that catches your eye when you look at this beautiful postcard is the absence of the word “consort” in Camilla’s title. “The Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla”, - written in the invitation.
It is now clear that Charles insisted on his own against the wishes of the deceased mother. During her lifetime, Elizabeth II ordered how the title of the wife of her eldest son should sound when he comes to the throne - the queen consort.

According to sources at Buckingham Palace, Charles was terribly outraged. He did not like the word “consort” very much. He demanded that his mother order the removal of the hated word from Camilla’s future title, but Elizabeth remained unshakable. Several times it seemed that Charles broke loose and even banged his fist on the table, but this did not help.
He seems to have calmed down and decided to wait for the coronation to get his way. As the saying goes, the king’s word is law. Now no one can object to Charles, except perhaps Queen Camilla.
Recall that recently King Charles III and his wife paid an official state visit to Germany.
