In Ukraine, where the indexation of pensions will soon be carried out, every year some pensioners pay a one-time financial assistance. The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law to postpone the date of this payment from May 5 to August 24.
Yes, one-time assistance is paid to war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution. Every year, Ukrainians received it on the eve of Victory Day, and now the payments will be timed to coincide with the Independence Day of Ukraine. A total of 279 people’s deputies voted for the relevant law No. 7295.
“Every year, on the Independence Day of Ukraine, combatants are paid a one-time cash payment in the manner and amount determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the relevant budget allocations established by the law on the State Budget of Ukraine,” the note notes to the bill.
The authors of the bill proposed changing the date of a one-time cash payment to October 14, the Day of Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine, but as a result, the date of August 24 was adopted.
