In Ukraine, there were several main reasons for delays in payments to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in February. As of the beginning of March, all payments in the amount of UAH 6.3 billion. funded. And now IDPs receive 2,000 hryvnias from the state every month, while the elderly and persons with disabilities receive 3,000 hryvnias each.

This was stated in the Ministry of Social Policy.

The Ministry explained that payments to some IDPs could be delayed for the following reasons: additional verification (verification) and clarification of data through the transition to the Unified Information System for the Social Sphere, as well as an increase in the number of recipients of assistance, which required additional funds.

So, in December 2022 and January 2023 alone, the number of benefit recipients increased by 86,000 people. And in November 2022, the growth amounted to 200 thousand people.

In the future, in case of delay in payments, IDPs should contact the social protection authority at the place of registration. This is necessary to check the correctness of the data and eliminate errors, if any.

Contacts of such regional offices of social protection are available at this link.

You can also contact the National Social Service of Ukraine by phone (044) 289-87-89.

It is noted that the monthly state subsistence allowance for IDPs is UAH 2,000 for persons over the age of 18; for children and persons with disabilities - 3000 UAH. In addition, until the end of martial law and a month after it, payments continue automatically.

Recall that for Ukrainian migrants announced assistance in the amount of 1050 dollars. We also recall that in February the Ministry of Reintegration approved a new list of territories where hostilities are underway or temporarily occupied, on the basis of which internally displaced persons will be paid. The updated list of territories of possible and active hostilities includes settlements in the Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Nikolaev, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, and Zaporozhye regions.
