After postponing changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Affairs recommends that Igor Klymenko be appointed to the post of Minister of Internal Affairs by Parliament.

“The Law Enforcement Committee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada appoint Igor Klymenko to the post of Minister of Internal Affairs”– wrote the deputy.
Also on February 7, it became known that the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence supported the candidacy of Vasily Malyuk for the post of head of the SBU.
This is stated in the conclusion of the Committee of the Council.
“Based on the results of the discussion, the committee decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to support the appointment of Malysh Vasily Vasilyevich to the post of head of the Security Service of Ukraine,” - the document says.
Recall that since July last year, Vasily Malyuk has been in charge of the SBU after the dismissal of Ivan Bakanov, but in the status of an interim head, in addition, he served as the first deputy head of the department. At the same time, yesterday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a submission on the appointment of the acting head of the SBU, Maliuk, as the head of the department.
Regarding Igor Klymenko, we recall that he is temporarily acting as Minister of Internal Affairs. This happened after the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including Minister Denis Monastyrsky, died due to a helicopter crash in Brovary.
