President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky warned the Ukrainians that due to enemy air attacks these weeks could be hectic at night.
“Only two days have passed since the beginning of the year, and the number of downed Iranian drones over Ukraine is already over 80. And this number may increase in the near future. Because the nights can be pretty hectic these weeks. We have information that Russia is planning a long-term Shahed attack. Her bet may be depleted. On the depletion of our people, air defense, our energy. But we must do and will do everything so that this goal of the terrorists will also experience failure, like all the others. ”he said in a video message.
Zelensky thanked the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, which successfully defended the skies the other day, noting the Center, South and East air commands, and especially the fighters of the 96th Kyiv, 208th Kherson and 138th Dnieper anti-aircraft missile brigades 301 -th Nikopol anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Air Force, as well as soldiers of the 39th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Ground Forces.
“I thank the pilots of our fighters and the fighters of the mobile fireteams. Now is the time when everyone involved in the defense of the sky needs to be especially careful.”the President noted.
According to Zelensky, the Russian regime needs “mobilization emotions” to demonstrate something to its citizens and show that everything is allegedly going “according to plan” with the Kremlin.
“Our task is to give Ukraine successes, achievements, albeit small ones, but victories over terrorists and terror every day. Every downed drone, every downed missile, every day with electricity for our people and minimal shutdown schedules are just such victories. And every step forward by our military at the front, every remaining position is a success that is now of strategic importance.he emphasized and added: “We must maximize the price of a new mobilization and war as a whole for a terrorist state.”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked the soldiers who are holding the front near Bakhmut, in Soledar and other directions. “Thank you for the Luhansk region, for the south! No matter how difficult it is now, it must be endured. To make it easier at the end of this winter”the president summed up.
Recall that a large-scale air raid sounded in Ukraine on December 31 - the enemy launched missile attacks on several regions, including the capital. On New Year’s Eve, more than 30 enemy drones were shot down over Kyiv, the next night air defense was again working in the capital region - about 20 targets were neutralized. Loitering shells also flew to the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions.
