In Ukraine, a program is starting to replace incandescent lamps with new LED lamps.
Adult Ukrainians will be able to get 5 LED lamps for free instead of old lamps. This can be done as early as January, by pre-registering in the “Action” application.
This was reported in the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
“This is a significant savings. For example, 50 million LED bulbs can relieve the work of an entire reactor of a nuclear power plant. A person who decides to use the program only needs to first leave an application in Action, come to the Ukrposhta branch and exchange 5 old-style lamps for the same number of LED ones.- clarified in the department.
In total, the program is designed to replace 50 million incandescent light bulbs. As Yulia Sviridenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, explained earlier, this could help Ukraine consume 7-10% less electricity at peak times.
Recall that during the war in Ukraine there are power outage schedules to reduce the load on the network. After each attack by infidels, power engineers introduce emergency power outages. In particular, in Kyiv, the power was once again turned off in an emergency order due to a night attack on the capital.
