More than 1051 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
According to the Office of the Attorney General, as of the morning of July 28, 2022, the official number of child victims per day has not changed - 358, but the number of injured has increased - more than 693.
The OGPU noted that these figures are not final, since work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Children suffered the most in the Donetsk region - 363, Kharkiv - 195, Kyiv - 116, Chernihiv - 68, Lugansk - 61, Mykolaiv - 57, Kherson - 54, Zaporozhye - 40.
The Office of the Prosecutor General recalled that on July 27, enemy troops once again fired at the Nikolaev district of the Nikolaev region. As a result of the shelling of two villages, 14-year-old and 12-year-old boys were injured. Also on July 27, a 12-year-old boy was injured due to mortar shelling in the village of Prudyanka, Dergachevsky district, Kharkiv region.
The OGPU noted that due to the bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, 2,197 educational institutions were damaged. Of these, 223 were completely destroyed.
Recall, the Presidential Adviser on Children’s Rights reported that 46 children illegally deported and taken out by the Russian Federation have already been returned to Ukraine.
As reported, on the eve of the new academic year in Ukraine, all schools will be checked for compliance with safety requirements. And in those educational institutions where bomb shelters and shelters are not prepared, training will not begin.
