Apple TV+ and Apple Music streaming services have just been introduced to LG webOS TVs. Korean software has also acquired some other useful programs.

According to the statement of the Far Eastern manufacturer, the latest update of the webOS system is already available in more than 100 countries around the world. The main attraction is precisely the expansion of downloadable applications available in the WebOS Hub.

Apple TV+ on LG TVs with webOS

The highlight, of course, is the Cupertino giant’s streaming service, Apple TV+. It is one of the big players in the streaming content market that stands out from its many competitors.

The portfolio may not be as large as Netflix’s, but the service has become known for delivering good quality original movies and series. There are currently over 100,000 users on the platform. videos and other content.

Apple Music is a service well known to users of smartphones and other Apple devices. Adding an app to your LG smart TV makes it easy, among other things: to play atmospheric music without jumping over unnecessary obstacles. Apple’s music offering has over 100 million songs.

webOS should now be compatible with the AirPlay feature, allowing smooth streaming of movies or music from Apple mobile devices directly to TVs. A nice addition is also Apple HomeKit, an application that allows you to control the company’s smart home devices.

webOS Hub gains momentum

As LG adds, the app store for webOS is constantly going strong. At the moment, there should be 10 times more various useful programs than in January 2021.

Although webOS dominates mainly LG TVs, the manufacturer also boasts that more and more other brands are choosing smart TV software for their devices. These include Seik, Eko, Stream System, Konka, Aiwa or Hyundai.

WebOS TV has been in active development since 2014, when LG Electronics acquired the rights to the solution from HP. The new program replaced the previous NetCast platform.
