Jan Hadrava will not become a volleyball player of the Istanbul “Galatasaray”
After the PlusLiga championship and a silver medal in the Champions League, Jastrzębski Węgiel is preparing for the next edition of the competition. To do this, the authorities, led by Adam Gorol, create a team that will allow Marcelo Mendez to fight for the biggest trophies. Stephen Boyer left the club and was replaced by Jean Patry. In recent days, fans have speculated that Jan Hadrava, the second of the attacking clubs, will also leave Jastrzebie-Zdrój. Although the Czech’s contract is still valid for the next season, Galatasaray Istanbul had to buy out his contract and bring him to the Bosphorus.
According to the Interia portal, nothing will come of Hadrava’s move to Turkey. Galatasaray had to comply with certain buyout conditions, and to date it has not done so. This means that formally the Czech is still a player in the Polish championship. It is not known what plans Jastrzebski Wengel has for him and whether it is possible to count on the performance of the striker in the team’s shirt in the upcoming games.
Volleyball career of Jan Hadrava
Jan Hadrava has been playing volleyball for Jastrzębski Węgiel since 2021. With the club, he won silver and gold at the Polish Championship. He previously wore the colors of Italy’s Cucine Lube Civitanova, as well as Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, Nantes and Dukla Liberec. A native of Rokichan, the 31-year-old is also a key figure in the Czech national team.
