The top two teams in the main stage battle it out for the PlusLiga bronze medals in the 2022/23 season. After 30 rounds, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów was first with 72 points per horse, while Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie scored 68 points, one more than third Jastrzębski Węgiel, who plays for gold with Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

Asseco Resovia Rzeszow finally wins at home
Although the guests from Zawierc opened this set better than leading 0:2, over time the Asseco Resovia Rzeszow volleyball players became warmer. The hosts took the lead 10:6 thanks to a sacrificial defense game and a very good serve.
Later, Giampaolo Medea’s wards took the lead by four points (15:11), from which they did not concede to the end. This game was the prey of the inhabitants of Rzeszow, who defeated their rivals with a score of 25:19.
Strong start to the second set and Warta Zawiercie struggle to make up for the result
In the second set, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów continued her excellent game from the first set. After the first seven actions, the hosts led 6:1 and confidently went to victory in the second set. At some point, the guests pulled themselves together and when the residents of Rzeszow scored a point, pulled out two, thanks to which the result was 19:17, which allowed Michal Winiarski’s wards to believe that they would turn the tide of this set.
After a series of mistakes by Asseco Resovia and a high-scoring game by Warta Zawiercie, the guests finally managed to achieve a draw 19:19. The end of this set turned out to be incredibly balanced, but the hosts, who won with a score of 25:22, kept their cool. Jakub Buki ended this set with a first-class serve.
In the third set Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie took the lead 6:8, but the hosts were able to quickly level the score in this game (9:9). The end of this set was extremely even, but in the end, it was the hosts who won 25:23, and in the whole match 3:0 and is the closest thing to a bronze medal this PlusLiga season.
