This is what Rakov-Czestochowa needs most of all. Wojciech Kowalczyk advises medalists

Must read

Rakov Częstochowa has just won the Polish championship, but there are even more serious tests ahead, including the fight in the Champions League qualifiers. Wojciech Kowalczyk told what the Medals have to do in order to succeed in Europe.

In the 31st round of the 2022/23 season, history was being written before our eyes. Although Rakov Częstochowa lost to Korona Kielce on 7 May, Legia Warszawa was also defeated and therefore Marek Papshun’s players became Polish champions for the first time in history. So the medals have reached the very pinnacle of Polish football, but there are more challenges ahead. Wojciech Kowalczyk, a former representative of Poland, clearly understood what Rakov needed to win in the international arena as well.

Wojciech Kowalczyk explains what Rakov Czestochowa needs

The bar is set very high, and it will not be the aforementioned coach Papshun who will reach it, but his very young successor. After the 2022/23 season, the blacksmith of his previous successes completes his adventure in Częstochowa, and 32-year-old David Szwarga will take over after him. It seems that there is one thing that he will absolutely need in order to achieve good results too.

Wojciech Kowalczyk has no doubts about this, as he stated in the Liga Minus program, created by the editors of the weszlo.com portal. - The Polish Championship, eleven points advantage, and you can’t squeeze a single forward Rakov even into the fifth top eleven of the season. If they want to win European competition, they need a goal-scoring sniper. At least one, the popular expert said.

One may disagree with many of the theses expressed by “Koval”, but this observation is extremely accurate. When we look at the statistics of the strikers from Czestochowa, we see a big problem. Sebastian Musiolik scored 1 goal in 26 matches, Fabian Piasecki scored 6 goals in 26 matches and Vladislavs Gutkovskis scored 9 goals in 40 matches. However, the Latvian has a catch in that 4 of his 9 goals were scored in one match - against Wisla Plock last November.
