After the unfortunate and tragic earthquake in Turkey and Syria, Hatayu BBSK volleyball player Bartosz Buczko returned to Poland, where he trained at Projekt Warszawa. The capital club did not offer him a contract, so the player had to look for a new club. And here’s how it happened. Already debuted in new colors.
Projekt Warszawa is taking league games by storm. Since Piotr Graban took over at the end of November last year, they have recorded only one loss to PlusLiga leader Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, but it happened in December. In 2023, they won all their matches and are currently fifth in the league, two points behind fourth-placed Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, and are confident they will play in the play-offs. The new coach brought to the team not only freshness in the game, but also openness to new faces. One of them had to leave the club.
Bartosz Buczko left Projekt Warszawa
Bartos Buchko’s Turkish team Hatay Büyüksehir Belediesi has decided to withdraw from the league due to the tragic earthquake that hit their country, which also resulted in the separation of several players. The 28-year-old native of Poland had to return to the country with his whole family and, thanks to the generosity of the authorities of the capital team, he trained with them in order not to fall out of practice and keep in good shape. Unfortunately, it became clear that he could not stay with them permanently.
Therefore, the volleyball player and his representatives started looking for a new club. And everything went according to plan, because a contract had already been signed with the player. The new employer of the attacker was the Qatari police club, where he had already made his debut.
Career of Bartosz Buchko
Bartosz Buczko has been called an extremely talented volleyball player from the very beginning of his career. His past is connected with such clubs as: BBTS Bielsko-Biała, Calzedonia Werona, Effector Kielce, AZS Częstochowa, Stal Nysa, Krisopol Września and the aforementioned Hatay Büyükşehir Belediyesi. During his adventure with volleyball, he won the Challenge Cup as well as gold and silver medals in the first league.
