From a report published in Revista Semana, we learn that at some point the kidnappers entered the car of Luis Diaz’s relatives and abducted them.
Police are looking for Luis Diaz’s father
Local security services, including the police and army, quickly joined the search. Shortly after this, the police director, General William Salamanca, managed to talk to the mother of the football player released by the criminals. “She is terrified, but she is healthy and no harm was done to her,” said a source close to the Liverpool player, as quoted by the previously mentioned website.

All that was confirmed was that the kidnappers abandoned the car they were traveling in and got back on motorcycles.
